Within the area of the golf couse are two historic monuments, Rory Oge MacQuillan Castle which overlooks and dominates the tenth green and a network of souterrains at the fifth and eighth greens. Galgorm Castle is Northern Ireland’s top venue for hosting European professional Golf Events; the Golf Club was the first to host the PGA EuroPro Tour in Northern Ireland from 2010 to 2012. The Golf Club was also host to the Northern Ireland Open (Challenge Tour) in 2013 and 2014.
