Founded in 1892, Taunton & Pickeridge is a traditional members club. It’s located on Pickeridge Hill in the Blackdowns, and is just 4 miles away from Taunton in Somerset. The golf course, an 18 hole par 69 in wonderful surroundings; is a challenging test, which rewards the brave while encouraging the less adventurous – ideal for a golf society of all standards.
A downland treat to play, its parkland setting is luxurious and verdant, making it easy on the eye. But that is the only way in which it qualifies as easy. Indeed, it is a challenge that will excite the lowest handicapper without scaring off those newer to the game. There are an abundance of testing hazards, including trees, tight fairways, and fast greens that are well guarded. The course is beatifully situated in the Blacdown Hills AONB with far reaching views across the Somerset countryside from the Clubhouse terrace.
The clubhouse, overlooking the 18th green makes the ideal location to unwind and relax after a match or perfect for those special events such as weddings and birthdays.
Why not try their delicious Sunday carvery? It represents fantastic value and you’ll enjoy one of the best golfing views in Somerset.
