The George and Dragon is a beautiful 18th century coaching inn which can be found in the village of Clifton near Penrith. It has been sympathetically restored by local craftsmen, using stone slate flags together with design and colours relating to the Georgian period.
It has a restaurant and a bar and offers eleven stylish en-suite bedrooms. The inn’s bedrooms are individually designed, each one having either a roll top bath or a contemporary walk-in shower. Each room here will provide you with a TV and a DVD player and free Wifi throughout.
