The Came Down Golf Club opened for business in 1896, and in the 108 years or so since their doors were thrown open to players, the staff at the club have made every effort to maintain and improve the quality of their fine parkland course. As a result of that, it has matured fabulously in such a short period of time and has built up a fearsome reputation amongst club golfers in Dorset.
It spans 6244 yards in total and there are some particularly long holes to tackle – so the big hitters will certainly enjoy taking it on. If you need to warm-up your swing in preparation for the challenges that lie ahead, the practice area is, appealingly, only two minutes walk from the first tee.
