The medieval town of Haverfordwest is situated in the heart of Pembrokeshire, some 55 miles west of Swansea, 20 miles north of Tenby and only 10 miles from the nearest ferry terminal to Ireland. The course is a mile from the town centre.

Our parkland course has stunning views which include the Preseli Mountains to the north and the castles of Haverfordwest and Roch. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park footpath is only 6 miles away.

Haverfordwest Golf Club was founded in 1904 as a club serving the local community. From the very beginning the club has extended a warm welcome to visitors

Today many visiting societies return year on year to enjoy the golf, the excellent bar and catering services and the relaxed friendly atmosphere.

The course has been developed year on year many of the trees planted over twenty years ago have matured to help create beautiful tree lined fairways.
The most recent development is the extension of the pond on the par 3 fourteenth. It’s not actually an island green but it looks it from the tee and makes for a challenging tee shot whatever your standard. We are delighted to share our course and facilities with groups of all sizes ranging from individual golfers through to large societies of forty plus.

The modern clubhouse has excellent facilities including a recently refurbished lounge, golfers’ bar and a restaurant offering home cooked cuisine in a traditional atmosphere.

Situated in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside with breathtaking views, the four star Wolfscastle Country Hotel with 20 en-suite bedrooms offers a unique blend of rural charm, heritage and contemporary design.

Ideally located between the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline and Preseli Hills, Wolfscastle Country Hotel is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries after a great day of golf.

The Allt Yr Afon, which boasts 3 AA rosettes, is an intimate, fine dining restaurant with only six tables, open Wednesday – Saturday for dinner. The resurrection of this local celebrated restaurant has seen it refurbished to the highest of standards. With its high ceilings, copper fittings and candlelight tables, it has allowed the Allt Yr Afon to maintain its timeless atmosphere while also bringing it into the new era.

The Stirling Brasserie at Wolfscastle Country Hotel offers a modern, informal dining experience with the chance to sample honest, quality dishes, made from the finest ingredients that Pembrokeshire and its surround has to offer.

For over 200 years the Stirling family have been wine shippers and merchants and are always happy to recommend great wines to accompany your cuisine. The hotel also serves guest ales from Pembrokeshire’s Gwaun Valley Brewery and the Mantle Brewery in Cardigan.
