‘The Jewel In Northumberlands Golfing Crown’
Alnmouth Golf Club, Foxton Hall overlooks the splendours of both Foxton and Alnmouth Bay on the Northumberland coastline in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It is widely regarded as one of the finest golf courses in the North East of England.
Established in 1869, steeped in history, Alnmouth Golf Club is the 4th oldest golf club in England. Although the course has a coastal location it has parkland turf and a reputation for the fine quality of the greens and superb presentation. Recently chosen as one of the Top 100 Hidden Gem golf courses in the UK by Golf Monthly magazine, we are a private members club with active Mens and Ladies sections, friendly clubhouse atmosphere and a strong junior section.
Visitors are always given a warm Northumbrian welcome at Alnmouth where we have a wonderful golf course, first class practice facilities and a beautiful Clubhouse.
No matter what the size of your group, they can guarantee a great day out with a beautifully manicured course, excellent catering and our clubhouse staff to assist you. Larger parties will need to provide sufficient notice to allow them to be fitted in to the club’s calendar. They expect players to have some golfing ability on the understanding that the organiser takes responsibility for the competence of his/her players. They also expect visitors to observe the Club’s dress code as well as general golf etiquette and the rules of golf. Players may make full use of the Club’s facilities – practice area, putting greens, indoor golf studio, bars, lounges, dining room, snooker room and changing rooms.
Play is from the yellow tees and red tees at times and in a format agreed with the Club Manager in advance. Complete your day with a delicious meal prepared by the Kitchen renowned in the area for their first class food. They can cater to your choice with everything prepared fresh on the day.
In addition they have a dedicated short game practice area with a full USGA specification green and practice bunkers.
The Practice Area is completed by a 4 Hole Short Course with holes ranging from 60 yards.
Around the Clubhouse there is a putting green adjacent to the Rose Garden near the 18th Green, at the 1st Tee and a practice chipping green adjacent to the 7th Tee box near the clubhouse.
There are also two warm up practice nets close to the 1st Tee near to the visitors car park.
