Blackwell Grange Golf Club

Green Fees From: £20

Blackwell Grange is a par 71, parkland golf course in Darlington that offers a test to golfers of all ages and abilities.

The golf course and its facilities are well established in the golfing world, a view that is firmly endorsed by the PGA, who regularly use the facilities for competitions.

The superb 18 hole parkland golf course extends over 145 acres and offers one of the best 15 bay floodlit driving ranges, offering distance markers, raised target greens and chipping nets. Blackwell Grange Golf Club also boasts a superb practice green, a professional shop and excellent catering facilities in the clubhouse.

The course offers a challenging and varied landscape with the river Skerne looping through the course and encouraging extra skill at the second, third and fourth hole. The second is a difficult 449 yard, par 4 downhill, with a green just nestling in the rivers loop. The third is a short uphill dog leg, par 4, with the river running all the way along its length. At the fourth, a short, but tricky 130 yard hole, tests the nerves, as the tee shot must carry the bend of the river.

The twelfth hole requires a good drive through a narrow and well bunkered part of the course, combines the well matured landscape with some tricky bunkers, whilst the finish is then quite daunting with four of the final five holes over 400 yards, including the par 5 16th hole.

Relax, unwind and enjoy the attractive surroundings and friendly atmosphere of the newly refurbished clubhouse. The clubhouse can be used for celebrations of all kinds or as a quiet place to enjoy a bite to eat and a drink in after your round.

There is an extensive social calendar at the club and you don’t have to be a member to enjoy these events. Look out for our themed wine and dine evenings, quiz nights or live music nights – these events are always popular.

For non-golfers we offer a Social Membership for the annual fee of £20 which entitles you to 10% off all your food and drink purchases, as well as discounts to use our fantastic Driving Range.
