Designed by Open Championship winners James Braid and Willie Park.

Forres Golf Course is situated in the heart of Moray a region famous for its whisky distilleries and beautiful scenery. The course itself is a wonderful parkland golf course with spectacular views and aimed at golfers of all abilities. It is extremely well maintained and has a fine reputation in the area for the condition of its greens in particular.

From the back (white) tees it measures just under 6300 yards with a par and SSS of 70 for men. The front nine is par 36 but is actually the shorter nine. It is however quite tight with a number of tree-lined holes and great variety. The back nine is longer and at par 34 can be a real challenge but there is more room to open the shoulders. The signature hole is the 16th hole, a shortish par 4 played between trees and over a pond to a well guarded green.

The course off the yellow tees is just under 6000 yards with a par for men of 70 and SSS 69. The forward red tees reduce this to 5400 yards and off these tees the course for women plays to a par 72, SSS 71.

The course is full of memorable holes; none more so than the 16th, aptly named ‘Pond’. This is a spectacular hole where a watery grave awaits errant tee shots.

Findhorn Bay Holiday Park

The Holiday Park overlooks the beautiful Findhorn Bay and is a short walk from the Moray Firth.

This area is one of the loveliest parts of the Moray coast with unspoilt golden sandy beaches, pine forests and pretty coves and is a popular centre for both wildlife viewing and a variety of water sports.

Findhorn’s climate is influenced by the Gulf Stream and is famed for temperature and sunshine levels well above the national average, as well as low rain fall. Early and late holidays can therefore be very pleasant as spring and autumn are generally warm and dry.

One of the unique features of the Holiday Park is that it is next door to the world famous Findhorn Foundation and Community, with its award winning shop offering organic food, gifts and books, a cafe serving delicious organic food, and the Universal Hall, which is a 350 seat theatre.

A mile away is the pretty village of Findhorn, with two pubs, two cafes, an organic bakery and a village store.

Both the Holiday Park and the Eco chalets have been awarded three stars for self catering accommodation from Visit Scotland.
