Being one of few venues in the UK to home 3 Championship golf courses, at Frilford Heath they believe they host the ultimate 54-hole experience. Each course has its own set of challenges meaning that no round is ever the same. Whether it’s a round of golf with friends or a corporate golf day in Oxfordshire, the courses will provide you with an enjoyable experience that will make you come back time and time again.

Red Course – Par 72 / Yardage: 7015
The original Red Course was laid out in 1908 by five-time Open Champion, JH Taylor. An authentic, challenging championship golf course in Oxford offering a traditional heathland experience with pushed up greens and fairways that demand accurate driving to score.

The strong stretch between holes 5 and 9 include four hefty, two shot holes and a par three at the 9th that many consider memorable.

Completing the turn sees no respite, where a finishing stretch matched by very courses, includes seven consecutive par fours to close your round.

A recent host of Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship, the course has also hosted the English Amateur and European Tour 1st Stage Qualifying since 2011.

BLUE Course – Par 72 / Yardage: 6700
The Blue Course was designed by Simon Gidman and opened in 1994. Once you have survived the card threatening water on the early holes, you meander through a number of par four dog-legs and four par fives that face in all compass directions, seemingly getting the best of the prevailing westerly.

The Blue greens are more severely undulating which puts a premium on putting. The bunkering is bold and challenging too. While it’s a different course, no-one who plays the Blue will feel hard done by.

The course may be recognised for hosting Euro Pro Tour events and Ladies World Amateur ranking event, the Scratch Salver.

GREEN Course – Par 69 / Yardage 6025
The classical Green Course may be the shortest, but it is no pushover. From the outset the opening par three invites the experienced golfer to attack the pin with birdie opportunities few and far between.

The affectionately known ‘short 9’ of holes 7 – 15 have, even after 85 years, retained their original layout that includes two exacting par threes, a true testament to their designer, JH Taylor.

Likened to many classical heathland golf courses, the Green Course is much more than a noisy neighbour, having recently played host to multiple national events as part of England Golf Week. A firm favourite with the members, this brilliant Oxfordshire golf course should not be missed out to any who visit.

Kingfisher Barn is a 17th century converted farm that oozes charm. Located in the beautiful countryside, just outside the historic market town of Abingdon, offering both B&B rooms and self-catering accommodation. With the Thames path, riverside gardens, friendly pubs and independent restaurants all in walking distance, it is in an excellent location. The accommodation options:

*Kyte & Kestrel Lodge. Each lodge can sleep up to 8 people across 4 bedrooms, all of which can be arranged as 2 singles or 1 king size bed. Both lodges have a large living area, open kitchen and 3 bathrooms across 2 floors, so there’s plenty of room to relax. The beautiful high beamed ceilings and large windows flood the lodges with natural light and soften the distinction between the outside and in. Bold patterns and bright colours introduce a modern touch, complimenting the original features of the traditional barn building.

*Stable cottage. With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room and separate kitchen all at ground level, Stable cottage comfortably accommodates 4 guests. The main bedroom can serve as a double or twin room and boasts an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom features 2 single beds, in both rooms you will find plenty of storage.

*Hazel cottage. Benefiting from an open planning kitchen living area, family bathroom and 2 bedrooms all at ground level, Hazel cottage sleeps 3 guests. The main bedroom can be arranged with either 2 singles or a king size bed. The second bedroom is a single. Large windows and bright art create a light, relaxing environment to kick back after a day in the sunshine.

*Granary cottage. With period features throughout, Granary cottage has the feel of a traditional country escape with a modern twist. Upstairs is 1 large bedroom with a king size bed, alongside the bathroom. Downstairs is a bright open plan kitchen living room, with a large dining table and smart TV.

*The Nest. Nestled in the roof of the main barn building and bursting with character. The full height window fills the Nest’s open plan living area with natural light. Set further back in the flat with more privacy, there is a double bedroom and the bathroom.

*B&B rooms. 4 double, 4 twin and 2 single rooms all ensuite and with their own front door.
