Lanark Golf Club was founded in 1851. It was originally designed by Old Tom Morris and George Sayers, and then later refined by James Braid, who was brought in to construct several new holes which formed the course we now play today.

Our Old Course is a classic moorland layout built on top of ancient glacial sands. Often described as an inland links with firm undulating fairways that drain freely and large fast greens played all year round.

Our Old Course is a par 70 moorland course laid out over ancient glacial sands and was designed by Old Tom Morris, George Sayers and later refined by James Braid to the layout we now play today. The course is characterised by a range of testing fairways that drain freely and large fast greens that are played and enjoyed throughout the calendar year. Stunning views of Tinto and the surrounding hills and wildlife of the Southern Uplands enhance the golfing experience.

The course has hosted national and international amateur championships as well as regional qualifying for The Open Championship. Our Wee Course is a Par 29, 9 hole course that is fun and challenging in equal measures. Club Members and the Course Management Team take great pride in the condition of both our courses and the welcome we provide our visitors.

You can stay in the four star bed and breakfast accommodation as a base for touring this beautiful area of Scotland, or the B&B will be your home from home during your golf break. The bed and breakfast provides everything required for a comfortable overnight stay, or a longer holiday. It is a great place to relax and unwind. Modern comfortable ensuite rooms, and friendly staff. Continental breakfast or full Scottish breakfast are available free of charge.

They are surrounded by parks, water and green space. They have 10 local golf courses locally. A short drive from the base of Tinto, great for hiking and walking. Excellent fishing nearby.
