Nefyn’s 27 hole Championship layout, including its world-famous, iconic ‘Point’, offers golfers a rich variety of challenges and rewards. From the start, golfers are faced with spectacularly located tees, fairways which hug the rugged coastline and greens perched precariously close to the shoreline.
The course is located in the North West of Wales on the Llyn Peninsula, offers perhaps the most stunning setting for a round of golf in the north of the country.
The ‘Front’ Nine opens with three testing par 4s along the shoreline, a par 3 played from a narrow promontory to a closely bunkered green before heading inland via a par 4 requiring two exceptionally well struck shots to reach the narrowly contoured green and a par 3 which can play anything from a 7 iron to a 3 wood depending on conditions!
The run of holes from the 12th onwards offer cliff-top locations for your tee shots where you play into a howling wind with absolutely no idea of club selection whatsoever.
If ever there was a dramatic course that deserved more respect than it gets then Nefyn is surely it. The closing holes along the peninsula are quite superb and will live long in the memory, regardless of your score.
Society and Corporate golf days can be designed to meet a wide range of requirements for groups of 12 or more golfers. The packages can be catered for individual needs and can include breakfast on arrival, meal deals and competitions. After a round of golf, there’s nowhere better to come and relax than in the clubhouse. The bar and catering service is managed by the in house team. The bar offers an extensive range of drinks that includes beers, ales, wines and spirits from a range of local breweries and distilleries. Live Sport is available to view on our large screen TV via Sky Sports. Non-golfers are also welcome.
