TC, 18 holes autographed Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest & Assoc. is Vasatorps flagship and was considered in the first year as one of Sweden’s best courses. With six different tees, the layout can be anything from pleasant 4,700 meters to challenging 6,700 meters, making it suitable for all types of players. The wonderful links character with rolling fairways and undulating greens provide a sense reminiscent of Scotland and Ireland.
Redesigned Classic Course, formerly the Old Course, with 18 holes redesigned by Steve Forrest, is an aspiring championship course in Sweden. Here the holes are framed by both deciduous and coniferous trees in a lush parkland. The course opened in conjunction with the club’s 40th anniversary in July 2013.
The two 18-hole courses are complemented by the Alley Course, a full-lenght nine and the short Western 9, where precision trumps length.
Since its inauguration in 1974, the club has hosted several major international competitions and in fact it was precisely here that golf had a breakthrough as a spectator sport as SEO, the predecessor of the Nordea Masters, was played at Vasatorp. The wellknown world players Sandy Lyle, the late Seve Ballesteros and Greg Norman were among the men recieving the winner´s throphy. When Compaq Open was played here in 2002 the world’s best female golfer, Annika Sorenstam, secured the victory in front of over 60,000 spectators.
In 2013, the Juniors Swedish Strokeplay Championship was played at TC and in 2014 the Juniors Swedish Matchplay Championship was decided on Classic Course. The LET Helsingborg Open was held at Vasatorps GK´s TC 2013-2015.
