Weaving through the undulating parkland of the Welcombe Hills, this 6,575 yard, par 73 championship course has been designed to appeal to all standards of golfer with a variety of challenging holes.
The course features a number of water hazards and a full irrigation system, which along with the USGA specification greens, leave it open for play all year round. There are a number of very strong holes, not least the ‘short’ 17th – a 203 yard par three over water named “Duck’s Retreat”. The architects of the golf course at The Stratford Park have taken no shortcuts in creating what is now an excellent layout, particular care has been taken to maintain the natural beauty of the Welcombe Hills. The planting of more than 50,000 trees and the use of lakes have helped to create areas that are ecologically friendly.
Apart from the course, you’ll find attractive courtyards and patios around the clubhouse, where guests can enjoy a leisurely drink after golfing. Visitors are very welcome to Stratford Park Golf Club and can look forward to an excellent round of golf, followed by a warm, friendly atmosphere and some good food in the Clubhouse. Stratford Park is also the perfect venue for your Golf Society Day and is very popular with many golf societies and groups across the country.
