Sickleholme Golf Club was founded in 1898 and can be found in the heart of the Peak District in an idyllic setting. It is an undulating parkland golf course with stunning views. After playing the golf course, former Open champion Bobby Locke was so impressed that a painting of Sickleholme’s 13th hole adorned the mantlepiece of his home in South Africa for many years.
Although not a long golf course by modern day standards, Sickleholme offers even the more astute golfer a fantastic challenge. The combination of well positioned bunkers, immaculate undulating greens, and tight tree-lines make Sickleholme a mouth-watering prospect. In addition to the excellent set-up that awaits you, it’s important to take in the beautiful scenery that forms the backdrop to our course.
A warm welcome awaits you in the clubhouse, which has a friendly bar and superb catering, the envy of many restaurants and most other clubs.
Please watch the video below by clicking on the image, to get a brief overview of what Sickleholme is like both out on the course and in the clubhouse.
A warm welcome is extended to all visitors in our comfortable sun lounge and dining room overlooking the 18th hole and there is SkyTV and a snooker table in the bar.
Groups and societies are encouraged to discuss their requirements in advance with our Golf professional who can help with the organisation and smooth running of your event. We have an electronic leader-board in the bar area where scores can be displayed.
