The course is the first on ‘Scotland’s Golf Coast’. It is situated in very attractive parkland and is recognised locally as having wide inviting fairways and superb greens. Members and visitors are always appreciative of the excellent condition of the course. Musselburgh Golf Course really is an outstanding venue for players of all abilities and you are guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome.
The course is situated along the banks of the River Esk and has stunning views towards Inveresk Village, East Lothian and the Pentland hills beyond. The tree lined course offers a challenge for all level of golfers.
In addition, the lush fairways and perfectly maintained undulating greens are beautifully presented in a mature parkland setting. The club has been used as a final open qualifier when the open was played at Muirfield in 2013, and previously as a regional open qualifying venue.
Most recently the club had played host to the USKIDs European Championships. The length from the championship tees is a testing but fair 6725 Yards and with a par 71, SSS 72. However, with a number of different tee options the course is suitable for golfers of all abilities and is a very enjoyable course to play, which is proven by the fact that many visitors return time after time.
Visitors are always made welcome at The Musselburgh Golf Club and we have welcomed golfers from all across the world to participate in the various ‘high profile’ events that we have hosted. For example, in 2018 we welcomed young people from across the world to participate in a USA Kids Golf ‘European’ event. Like all our visitors the young people and their parents and carers had a memorable golfing experience and we are certain that they will return to play our course again.
